Markings: The right side of the frame is marked “DETONICS .45 / SEATTLE, WA. / CR14443”. The left side of the slide is marked “DETONICS .45 / Mk VII”.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered walnut panels. There is no notable wear or damage, only very light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent conditon.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is only very light operational wear and very light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The pistol is equipped with one 6-round magazine and is housed in a fleece lined vinyl Detonics soft case in a white cardboard box with a Detonics holster and leather accessories brochure and Combat Master Series brochures. All are in Excellent condition except for the cardboard box which has light wear at edges and corners, discoloration from age and oil, and is in about Very Good condition.
Our Assessment: The Detonics Combat Master series was one of the first small 1911 style ‘pocket pistols’. The MK VII is a rare model with the reputation of having been designed for the CIA. Definitely a close combat weapon, the MK VII has no sights, insuring it can be produced from a pocket without snagging. This MK VII is in Fine to Excellent condition. The mechanics are tight and it retains about 99% of its original stainless steel finish. It is chambered in .45ACP, giving it plenty of stopping power in a small package. These little pistols don’t come up for sale very often, so this is an unusual chance to acquire a rare pistol with just about everything it came with brand new. Please see our photos and good luck!
