Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 92% of its metal finish. The finish is thinning at all edges including on the weight. The barrel shows light-moderate operational wear. The slide has a few scattered light marks. The extractor appears to have discolored slightly. The mount screw heads are tool marked but still have crisp flats. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Very Good-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action trigger is smooth. The single action trigger is crisp. The slide has little play to the frame. The O-ring appears intact and has little wear. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The pistol comes with one 10-round magazine which has moderate operational wear, a strong spring and intact feed lips, in about Good-plus condition. The installed barrel weight is included as described, in about Very Good-plus condition.

Our Assessment: The USP Match is a long barrel variation of the USP with a rail-mounted weight to help reduce recoil and tall adjustable target sights. Only made in 1997 and 1998, there is collector value to these pistols, but they are also a wonderful target gun with the weight helping to reduce recoil of .45 ACP and the adjustable target sights allowing for fast acquisition and precise shot placement. The trigger is nice with an over-travel adjustment screw on the back. The magazine release is ambidextrous and the safety can be engaged to carry cocked-and-locked or used as a decocker to safely drop the hammer for a double-action first shot. The thumb safety can even be engaged with the hammer down, giving essentially all the options for carry condition. This is a purpose-built competition pistol and should serve is new owner well. Please see our photos and good luck!
