Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “Border Marshal / BERETTA U.S.A. CORP. ACKK., MD MADE IN USA”. The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number on the dust cover. The right side of the frame is marked “Border Marshal / 92 BRIGADIER -FS- CAL. 9 Parabellum”. The right side of the frame is marked with Beretta’s two-line warning. The right side of the trigger guard is marked with “P” in shield. Each grip panel is marked with Beretta’s arrows in rings logo.
Barrel Length: 4.7”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a tritium insert dovetailed into the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two tritium inserts, dovetailed into the rear of the slide. The tritium inserts have dimmed significantly, now only useable in very low light environments.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are black impact resistant plastic panels with circled Beretta logos on the sides, surrounded by checkering and a smooth border. There are no notable defects to the grips. There are no chips or cracks. The grips are in Excellent overall condition.
Type of Finish: Bruniton finished barrel and slide, black anodized aluminum frame.
Finish Originality: Factory Original
Bore Condition: The chrome-lined bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is a small mark on the bottom of the backstrap to the right of the serrations and light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes housed in a factory Beretta hard case with cardboard sleeve with serial matching end-label. This pistol does not come wtih a magazine. The cardboard sleeve has scuffs, wear at corners and edges and is in about Very Good condition. The hard case has light wear on the interior from the pistol and the exterior has no notable wear or damage. The case is in Excellent condition overall.
Our Assessment: The Border Marshal is a collector’s edition pistol from the Beretta Elite Team series built with a Brigadier slide which has more material on the slide around the locking-lugs to make for a stronger slide, night sights and a slightly shorter barrel than a full-sized 92. With the same general feel and manual of arms as the standard Beretta 92/M9, many people will be instantly familiar with the controls and operation of this pistol. It takes down for cleaning and maintenance in seconds. This pistol would be great for home defense, carry, or target shooting. Given its high condition and being a collector’s edition, it is more likely that this pistol will take a prized place in a Beretta collection. Please see our pictures and good luck!
