Our Assessment: This is a beautiful example of a .357 Combat Magnum from the first year they were assigned the Model 19 designation. The bluing is the old fashioned S&W blue, it has the diamond style target grips and has been stored and maintained beautifully. Although it may well find a home with a collector, this is a handgun that deserves to be shot. Return with us to those thrilling days of yesteryear when handguns were revolvers made of blue steel and walnut grips. This would make a great target gun, home defense gun or security guard’s service gun.
