The grips rate in about Fine-Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance is shown as light operational wear on the left side of the trigger and hammer a tiny mark under the ejector rod detent pin, and some light wear in front of the lettering on the right side of the barrel. The cylinder has a thin drag line and light wear in two locations behind the cylinder stop notches. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp with the exception of the inspector marks as described and the serial number in the crane cut. The serial number in the crane cut appears to have been hand-stamped and tends to be deeper on the top of the stamps than the bottom, with the number “9” fading considerably on the tail and nearly appearing as an undersized “0”. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder produces only very light play in full lockup of each chamber with no measurable back play. The double action trigger is quite smooth and the single action is very crisp. The pistol has a pinned barrel and the cylinder chambers are recessed. The trigger guard is narrowed on the right side. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Case: The exterior of the case has scattered light to moderate thinning, scuffs, scratches, compressions, and bruising throughout. The felt interior of the case has light wear from its contents but is otherwise free of notable defects or damage. Overall, the case is in about Good-Very Good condition. Excellent interior and Fair-Good exterior.

Knife: The brass pommel has some very light scuffing. The laminate wood grip has no notable wear or damage. The brass guard has some light marks on the right side. The 5 1/2″ blade has light marks on the left side at the edge approximately 2″ from the guard, and two tiny marks in the false edge approximately 1″ from the end of the spine. Overall, the knife is in about Excellent condition.

Our Assessment: This is a limited, 1 of 8,000 run Smith & Wesson 19-3 Texas Ranger commemorative with its original serial matching knife, case and a key. The pistol shows only light marks, retaining about 97% of its finish, with Excellent condition stocks. The revolver looks to have been treated well, with only minor signs of use.
