Barrel Length: 10” Recessed Crown Barrel

Sights / Optics: The pistol has a claw mount scope ring set (four in total), holding a Leupold 2-7x Vari-X IIc, which is NOT an extended eye relief scope; you have to move your face right behind the pistol to see, though with the heavy build, .22 is not going to kick it into your face; we recommend hearing and eye protection. The scope body has a few scuffs, the objectives need a cleaning but are free of damages. Also included is the pistol’s original iron sights; the front sight is a post in a serrated ramp base, covered with a black hood. The rear sight is a square notched target leaf, on a base that is adjustable for windage and elevation. Additionally, the scope comes with a set of lens covers, in Fine condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The action sits in a beautiful walnut stock with dark rough texturing on the forend and pistol grip flanks. The butt and underside of the forend have several compression and scratch marks, none go very deep, there are no cracks or major damages. Hand rubbing and shallow bruises are seen in isolated instance. The stock is in Fine Plus condition.

Type of Finish: Blue

Finish Originality: All Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95+% of its metal finish. There are the lightest of marks on the barrel. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine Plus to Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger breaks at about 1 ¾ lbs, the bolt handle is on the left side of the action, to benefit right handed shooters. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a Leupold scope, its original sights and one 5 round magazine, all in about Fine to Excellent condition as photographed.

Our Assessment: .22 Long Rifle is inexpensive, low cost, low recoil and very fun to plink with. Some take it a step further and get into target shooting; if you were around in the 70’s and 80’s Anschutz was a household name for competitors and hobbyists who felt like making a group no bigger than a dime at 50 yards. This pistol should be able to do that, with the option of its original sights or the installed Leupold scope. While we did not get a chance to shoot it, we don’t see any reason why this gun could not get you to the top ranks at your local shooting club with a few practice runs. If you keep it in good order, it will also appreciate down the road.

CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This handgun CAN be transferred as a dealer sale in California. This handgun CAN be sold as a Private Party Transfer (PPT) at our Simi Valley shop. All cartridge firing handguns (even C&R’s and antiques) sold to a California resident must be DROS’d. This does not apply to out of state residents.
