The barrel shows scrapes and thinning. The bottom metal shows scrapes & a freckling of light surface erosion. The screw heads show use. Most of the markings are deep. Overall this rifle rates in about Very Good Plus condition as refinished.

Mechanics: The action functions. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork& Accessories: None

Our Assessment: This Russian Mosin Nagant Model 1891 was built at the Tula Arsenal way back in 1908. Despite its age and refinishing the rifle has great markings on the receiver. The “Imperial” markings are of value to collectors as is the hex receiver the rifle is built on. It even has matching part numbers. It has some issues with the finish, but should clean up with some effort. This will add to your Mosin Nagant or military collection. Good luck.
