Our Assessment: > This is a Walther Model PPK pistol made in 1967 before they enlarged the pistol to the PPK/S to get around the restrictions of the 1968 Gun Control Act. The pistol is blued with brown checkered plastic grips. The pistol is in about Very Good condition with about 82% of its original finish remaining. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, but has a few streaks of extremely light erosion in the grooves near the muzzle. The pre-1968 Walthers are all considered to be of higher quality than the PPK/S and PPK models made later by Interarms and Smith & Wesson. This pistol will make someone a great carry gun with a double action pull on the first shot, and can also be used for home protection. It is perfect for women and those with small hands, and add an aftermarket mag with a finger extension floorplate, and it will fit those of us with large hands as well. Walther’s are known for their reliability, and this should give someone decades of shooting fun.
