Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “CUSTOM / Kimber / SHOP”, the right is marked “ULTRA COVERT II”. The right side of the frame is marked “KIMBER, YONKERS, NY U.S.A.” and the serial number. The barrel is marked “.45 ACP”.

Sights / Optics: The pistol has a three element Tritium night sight configuration, the sights are marked “HM3”, the lanterns are still bright in low / no light areas with a small amount of dimming. The front sight is a black blade, with a lantern recess, dovetailed onto the slide. The rear sight is a square notched combat base with two recessed lanterns, circumvented by white outlines, dovetailed onto the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a Kimber branded Crimson Trace desert digital camouflaged rubber panels. The front strap has a pressure switch, the left has an on-off switch. The grips are free of notable damages in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. No damages or heavy marks are seen, the pistol probably saw minimal use in its life, please see our pictures. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide has tight fit to the frame, the action glides with fluidity. The controls are similar to Colt’s famous 1911 design, with an extended ambidextrous thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, adjustable trigger and skeletonized hammer. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: One 8-round Wilson Combat magazine is provided, in Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: Kimber’s line of Tactical pistols are certainly beautiful, they show absolute craftsmanship and innovative variations of Browning’s original 1911 design. You would have to pay a lot of money for a gunsmith to take your typical 1911 anywhere close to this level. It is small enough to carry concealed but has the bight of a much larger pistol.
