The barrel, visible through the ejection port, is marked “HK / 9mmX19”, the serial number and eagle over “N” proof. The left flank of the grip frame is marked “HK USP”, the upper right hand of the frame is marked “HK Sidearms GmbH / Made in Germany”, the lower right flank is marked “EP PAT 92 104 723.9” the underside of the trigger guard is marked “WARNING / REFER TO OWNER’S MANUAL”, the underside of the frame has a metal plaque with the serial number, the polymer around this plaque is marked “CCF / RICHMOND, VA”. The rear sight is marked “HK”.

Barrel Length: 5.2″

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Patridge blade with an orange dot on the rear face, dovetailed onto the slide. The rear sight is a square notched leaf in a base that is adjustable for windage and elevation.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are integral to the frame; the flanks are textured, the fore and back straps are checkered, the forward portion has rails for mounting the included sight bridge that has Weaver pattern cuts on top. The bridge has some wear marks at the edges, free of major damages, in Fine condition. The frame is free of notable marks. The frame rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Type of Finish: Matte Black ‘Hostile Environment’ (http://www.kaneohegs.com/testing.htm) Finished Slide, Black Polymer Frame.

Finish Originality: Factory Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the polygonal rifling is highly defined. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. The barrel has normal operational scuff wear. The sights and leading edges of the slide show faint rub and thinning marks as photographed. This pistol looks to have been used infrequently and was well taken care of in the interim. The markings are crisp. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The pistol has an intentionally heavier double action pull and a crisp, short single action pull. The pistol’s left side mounted frame safety doubles as a decocker and the underside of the trigger guard has an ambidextrous magazine release. The frame is mounted with a slotted rail for lights or laser mounting (not included). We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The pistol comes with three 10-round magazines and one 15 round magazine (WE CANNOT SELL THIS MAGAZINE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS OR OTHER RESTRICTED STATES), all showing mild wear from normal use in Excellent condition. Also included are two owner’s manuals, 4 o-rings, a factory Allen wrench and takedown tool, all in Excellent condition. A removable magazine well extension is provided, showing scuffs, it does not allow the magazines to set into the magazine well, we believe that with the higher capacity magazines available on the marked (not included) would work. A sight bridge is included and described above in Optics. A factory HK hard case is included, showing minor scuffs on the exterior and clean foam inserts, all in Excellent condition.

Our Assessment: From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_USP#USP_Expert “The USP Expert (9 mm Parabellum, .40 S&W, .45 ACP), was introduced in 1998 and includes all the features of the Tactical, with the exception of the threaded barrel. The USP Expert also retains the USP match trigger. It also features an extended steel slide, which mostly hides the longer O-ring barrel and adds weight to help reduce muzzle flip and felt recoil even further. The Expert has adjustable target sights similar to the USP Match, Elite, and Tactical, however the slide differs in that the rear sight seat has been milled lower. The Expert may be used with an extended magazine well, or jet funnel, in 9 mm and .40 S&W calibers, which is intended for use in conjunction with larger-capacity magazines. The Jet Funnel magazines are clear plastic and hold 18 rounds for 9mm, and 16 rounds for .40 S&W. The jet funnel magazine can be used without the jet funnel installed and will protrude slightly from the bottom of the magazine well. However, once the jet funnel is installed, only jet funnel magazines can be used. The standard USP magazines will not work as the funnel will impede them from fully inserting in the grip and locking into place. The bobbed hammer was a factory option for the Expert if it was to be used in IPSC for the Standard Division, as the original version “in its ready condition” did not fit the box for Standard division in IPSC.” The HK USP is one hell of a tough pistol and were designed to take the worst beating you can throw at it. This one looks to have seen minimal use and comes with just about every accessory you’d want to begin with. The included sight bridge allows the use of red dot or scope attachments, the rail can also take lights and lasers (not included). Please see our pictures and good luck.
