Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “COLT’S SINGLE ACTION ARMY 38 SPECIAL”. The left side of the frame is marked “PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871 / JULY 2, 7 JAN 19, 75”. The left side of the trigger guard is marked with a Verified Proof and a “P”. The underside of the frame is marked “1362SA”.
Barrel Length: 5 ½”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fixed blade. The rear sight is a square groove in the top of the frame.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece black plastic with Colt logos at the top. There are only light handling marks on the grips. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.
Type of Finish: Blue Barrel, Cylinder and Grip Frame with Case Colored Frame.

Bore Condition: The bore is Bright and the rifling is Sharp. There is No erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is a faint dragline on the cylinder. The screw heads are Sharp. The markings are Clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.

Often touted as the gun that won the American West, it’s dependable, durable design and natural pointability has made it a favorite for over 130 years. It is still favored by Cowboy Action Shooters, collectors, aficionados of the American West, or anyone who needs a dependable, accurate revolver. This one is in Excellent condition and would fit in perfectly in a collection. It is remarkable the condition that this gun is in. It appears that it has been used very little since it was made in 1956.
