The lid will not stay closed by itself due to the wide thumbrest on the grips. The case is in about Excellent condition. Our Assessment: > Because of the Gun Control Act of 1968 importation of the Walther PPK was disallowed and Walther enlarged the pistol to the PPK/S model to get around the restrictions. This .22 Long Rifle pistol was made by Walther in 1974 and is considered to be of a higher quality than those made by either Interarms or S&W in later years. This is a fantastic looking pistol in nearly new condition, with no marks in the finish that we could find without a magnifying glass, and only a few marks in the grips. This will get gobbled-up by a collector for sure, but if it doesn’t, it will make someone a nice plinker that can easily be carried in a backpack or on a belt when out it the woods. Walther’s are known for their reliability and this should give someone decades of shooting fun assuming it isn’t locked away in a collector’s safe.
