Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “Coonan” and “.357 Magnum / Automatic”. The barrel is marked “.357 Mag”. The right side of the frame is marked “B004779” and “Coonan Arms Inc. St. Paul, MN. U.S.A.”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a replaceable blade with a red insert at the top of the short rear ramp. The rear sight is a flat topped square notch dovetailed into the slide and adjustable for windage and elevation. The sight has a Millet “MI” logo with a white outline plus a white vertical bar under the notch.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are smooth light brown walnut. The right grip shows a small compression mark in the center of the grip. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.
Type of Finish: The sides of the slide and frame are brushed stainless and the top of the slide and bottom of the frame have a matte stainless finish.
Finish Originality: All Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The top of the slide shows a faint mark behind the rear sight and two more behind the port on the right side. The bottom edge of the backstrap shows thinning. The screw heads are sharp but show marks of a screwdriver. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger has a VERY light pull with a slight amount of creep. We did not fire this handgun.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with one 7 round stainless steel magazine with a very faint mark on the back surface. It is in Excellent condition. Also included is the factory original box and instruction manual. the box and manual are also in excellent condition.
Our Assessment: Wow, this is sure big!! This is an all stainless steel 1911 style pistol with Millet adjustable sights and a very light trigger pull. This pistol is one of over 400 guns we acquired from the same consignor, many of which were purchased, never shot and stored properly for years. While this pistol appears to have been fired, it certainly wasn’t fired much and you have to look closely to see any marks at all. This is a very well made firearm, with a slide that is tight to the frame and with sights that really stand out. This will be perfect for home protection. If you get bored, you can always take it out and pop a few coyotes.
