Markings: The left side of the frame is marked “Wichita Arms, Inc. / Wichita, Kansas U.S.A.” The bottom of the left side of the barrel is marked “357 SM”. The top of the receiver under the barrel is marked “95” and “5D”. The frame underneath the left grip is marked “5D”.
Barrel Length: The octagonal barrel Is 10 ½”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Patridge blade dovetailed into a ramp on the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch that is adjustable for windage and elevation; it is screwed to the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece grips are smooth walnut. The left grip shows a few light compression marks on its side and at its base. The smooth forend grip is made of walnut; it has a very light handling mark on the bottom at the front. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.
Type of Finish: Matte Stainless
Finish Originality: All Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 94% of its metal finish. There are a few light handling marks on both sides of the frame. There a couple minor handling marks on each side of the barrel and on top of the barrel. There is light surface loss at the bottom of the frame at the barrel pivot. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol.

Our Assessment: This pistol is one of over 400 guns we acquired from the same consignor, many of which were purchased, never shot and stored properly for years. This versatile pistol is in very nice condition. The adjustable trigger and sights will allow you to tailor its action to your preference. The 10 ½” octagonal barrel will do a good job dampening the recoil from your hot loads. You can take this to the range, or you will be able to bring it hunting to the woods. This is a solid pistol in great shape and it will make a nice companion for hunting varmints or possibly medium-sized game. Not to mention the versatility of the caliber!
