Our Assessment: The Seville and El Dorado line of single action revolvers began line in 1972 as the “Abilene”, manufactured by United States Arms of Riverhead, N.Y. United Sporting Arms was spun-off in 1976 to manufacture the blue Seville and the stainless steel El Dorado revolvers. The El Dorado was the first stainless steel .44 Rem. Mag revolver production revolver to be made in the United States, an important first. The Seville model was made in various calibers all the way up to .454 Casull. A Qwik-Kit model was designed at some point, allowing multiple barrels and cylinders to be used on the same frame. This revolver is a Qwik-Kit Seville model, but only comes with a single barrel and cylinder, chambered in .45 Colt. The pistol has a blued finish with the hammer and ejector rod lever “In The White”, a 4 1/2” heavy barrel and a large unfluted cylinder. The revolver is in about Fine Plus overall condition with about 96% of its original finish remaining. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion and the cylinder lockup is SOLID on all 6 chambers. This is a well made large framed single action revolver, and with its solid action, it should be capable of providing shooting enjoyment for decades to come. That said, this model was only made for a few years, and the company is no longer in business, making all of the Seville models, but especially the Qwik-Kit models, extremely collectable. The collectors out there are likely to outbid the shooters.

CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This single action revolver CAN be transferred as a dealer sale in California and CAN be sold as a Private Party Transfer (PPT) at our Simi Valley shop. All cartridge firing handguns (even C&R’s and antiques) sold to a California resident must be DROS’d. This does not apply to out of state residents.
