The buttstock has a pistol grip and a flat black plastic shotgun style buttplate marked “BROWNING”. The checkering shows very light wear and is still sharp to the touch, but there is a mar next to the lower border in the left side of the forend. There is a tiny ding and a scuff mark on the right side of the belly and a few light marks in the buttstock. The LOP measures 13 5/16” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The buttplate is unmarked and in Excellent condition. The stocks rate in about Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: The barrel and magazine tube are blued, the trigger is gold plated, and the receiver and trigger guard have a gray nitride finish.

Finish Originality: All Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, with sharp rifling and no erosion. The bore looks like this rifle might have been fired a few times outside the factory, and then put back in the box for storage.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99+% of its original metal finish. We did not see any handling marks in the metal surfaces other than a small wear spot on the right side of the trigger. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The rifle cross-bolt safety at the back of the trigger guard and a slide release at the left front of the trigger guard. The trigger pull is crisp. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its factory box and original Owner’s Manual. The box is black cardboard and has a white Styrofoam liner that is fitted for this rifle. The cover of the box is marked “BROWNING” in large gold letters and one end panel is marked with the make, model, and serial number of this rifle. The cover shows fraying on its corners and the edges of the end panels, with light wear on the remaining edges and a few handling marks in the flat surfaces. The Styrofoam liner shows oil staining at the receiver and at the muzzle, with abrasions at the muzzle, but is otherwise intact. The box and is liner are in about Very Good Plus condition.

Our Assessment: The Browning BPR started out as pump-action centerfire rifle based on the BAR. This was so successful that they then made a slightly scaled down version in .22 rimfire. This is a Browning BPR-22 Magnum Grade II rifle firing the .22 WMR cartridge. The barrel and magazine tube are blued, the trigger is gold plated and the receiver has a gray nitride finish. The stocks are checkered fancy walnut and the sides of the receiver are engraved with animals bordered with scroll engraving. Please see our pictures to get an idea of how nice this rifle looks! The rifle is in about Excellent condition with 99+% of its metal finish remaining. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. This rifle looks like it was taken out of the box, fired a few times, cleaned, and then put away for storage. We couldn’t see any handling marks in the metal other than a slight wear mark on the right side of the trigger. The rifle comes with its factory box and original Owner’s Manual. This sharp looking rifle will make a beautiful addition to any collection of pump action rifles.

CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This rifle MUST be transferred to a California FFL dealer for DROS. All cartridge firing firearms (even C&R’s and antiques) sold to a California resident must be DROS’d. This does not apply to out of state residents.
