The right front of the trigger guard is marked with a Crowned “P Peron V” proof mark. The left side front of the trigger guard is marked with what looks like a “9” or possibly a “6”. Sights / Optics: The front sight is a rounded blade fixed to the top of the slide. The rear sight is a flat-topped square notch dovetailed into the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered walnut with a lacquered finish over the smooth areas. There are several small dings in the bottom surface of the left grip and a drag line in the bottom of the right grip, with a few small dings scattered over the remainder of the smooth areas. There are spots where the finish has been scraped or worn off at the front of the right grip and raised spots in the front surface of the left grip – we think the front surface was touched-up with lacquer at some point or else the grip was exposed to a cleaning chemical that attacked its lacquered finish. The checkering shows light wear without mars. The grips rate in about Very Good to Fine overall condition.

Type of Finish: The pistol has a polished blue finish.

Finish Originality: The finish is original.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are a few light marks scattered over the slide and frame and a tiny spot of pinprick surface erosion below the serial number in the front strap. The slide and hammer serrations are sharp. The grip screws are sharp and the markings are crisp. Overall, this gun rates in about Fine Plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. It has a frame mounted safety and the spur hammer has a half cock safety position. This pistol still has a functioning magazine disconnect and the trigger pull is crisp. The slide is tight on the frame. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a 13 round magazine. The magazine has a gray Parkerized finish in the body and a blued floorplate which shows a few light marks. The magazine is in about Excellent condition. The high capacity magazine will not be supplied to a resident of California nor to a resident of any state with magazine capacity restrictions.

Our Assessment: This is a Browning Hi-Power that was made by FN in Belgium in 1972. This pistol still has its original polished blue finish and a spur hammer. The pistol is in about Fine Plus condition with about 99% of its metal finish remaining. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. The slide is tight to the frame. This pistol is the perfect size for concealed carry: not too heavy and with a grip frame that is very ergonomic. With an all steel frame and slide, there is no need to worry about using +P loads in this pistol. Besides being used for concealed carry, it can also be used for home defense.

CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This pistol CANNOT be transferred in California and CANNOT be sold to a California resident as a private party transaction (PPT) at our shop in Simi Valley. This does not apply to out of state buyers. The high capacity magazine will not be supplied to a resident of California nor to a resident of any state with magazine capacity restrictions.
